The Eneloop brand is one Sanyo's most impressive and again today they are amazed us with two new Eneloop bikes, two world's first (in consumer electric bikes).
The most impressive of both is without a doubt the CY-SPK227, the first electric bike to feature a carbon composite frame, the same material used in F1, and a vibration reduction body design… Not only is it amazingly light and strong, but it's also a 2-wheel drive bike fitted with various electric power modes like “Sport Traction" for improving traction. If you push to hard on a pedal and a wheel starts spinning, the electric engine will put the necessary power on the front wheel to give the rider the necessary traction to move forward. If you have no idea I'm talking about, let’s just say the bike features the equivalent of Traction Control on a 4WD (roughly).
The CY-SPK227 also includes a Sport Mode with an assist ratio up to 1:2, a Power Reserve mode, a Central Controller with back light LCD that provides information regarding power reserve and other functions, and a 5.7Ah lithium-ion battery.
Less fancy, the CY-SPJ220 doesn't feature 2WD technology or a carbon composite frame, but has the other specifications as the CY-SPK227, in a foldable body.
